💜 Zero alcohol, 100% vibes
This dreamy drink transforms before your eyes! Add a citrus catalyst and watch it shift from deep indigo to fuchsia. It’s a sassy science experiment in a glass, minus the hangover.
Makes 4 eight ounce mocktails
Mood Ring Mocktail
3 oz chilled Blueberry Lavender Butterfly pea flower tea w/ Portland lavender syrup (see ratios below)
Sparkling water
Ice
Sprig of mint or rosemary, or Thai basil flower or edible flower
3 oz. fresh lemonade (“citrus catalyst”) side car
Instructions:
Make your Citrus Catalyst (Lemonade) ahead of time.
Squeeze 1 cup fresh lemon juice (juice from approx 4-5 lemons)
Add 2.5 cups filtered water
1/2 cup maple syrup (or you could use monk fruit for sugar free option)
Place in a glass jar or container until ready to mix drinks. Shake before using.
Brew your Butterfly Pea Tea Base ahead of time.
Brew tea: steep 4 bags of Blueberry Lavender Tea from The Republic of Tea in 12 oz. of hot water for at least 10 minutes.
Remove tea bags & let cool at least 10 minutes.
Bump up the lavender taste & sweetness with 2- 3 oz. lavender syrup (or add 2-3 teaspoons of monk fruit for sugar free option)
Place in a covered glass jar or container in refrigerator until ready to make the drinks. Shake before using.
Make your Mocktails:
Fill a glass 3/4 of the way with ice, then add:
3 oz. butterfly pea lavender tea base
Approx 2-3 oz. sparkling water
An edible flower, sprig of mint, rosemary, or a Thai basil flower
Serve with a 3 oz. lemonade “side car” (little mini carafe or container with lemonade)
Invite your guests to add their lemonade and watch their mocktail transform color!
